Curta de Taylor Swift pode ser indicado ao Oscar

Um dos maiores sucessos da cantora country Taylor Swift, “All Too Well: A Short Film”, foi oficialmente (e muito merecido!) elegível a um Oscar, depois de ser apresentado durante uma janela de tempo da premiação.

Regularmente, as categorias do Oscar destinadas aos curtas-metragens acabam passando batido no evento. Porém, com o lançamento de Taylor, este ano foi diferente.

A produção é um drama romântico escrito e dirigido por Taylor Swift baseado em sua canção “All Too Well”, lançada originalmente no álbum “Red”, de 2012, e relançada pela artista em 2021.

De acordo com o site, o curta de cerca de 14 minutos de duração foi qualificado para concorrer à estatueta, e a cantora está trabalhando com uma importante consultoria para orientar sua campanha pelo prêmio.

All Too Well: The Short Film é estrelado por Sadie Sink e Dylan O'Brien e retrata um casal em um relacionamento que acaba desmoronando. Nas palavras de Taylor, o curta é sobre “uma jovem efervescente e curiosa que acaba completamente fora de si”.

Taylor Swift nunca foi indicada ao Oscar, mas neste ano também tem chamado a atenção pela canção “Carolina”, do filme “Um Lugar Bem Longe Daqui”.

Swift fez sua estreia na direção do curta-metragem, que foi exibido no icônico Tribeca Film Festival, em Nova York (EUA), uma grande conquista para a cantora.

O curta também foi exibido no AMC Lincoln Square de Nova York em novembro do ano passado, o que significa que se qualifica para a elegibilidade do Oscar como a janela para a categoria de curta-metragem ao vivo da premiação de 2023, que considera as obras audiovisuais entre 1º de outubro de 2021 a 30 de setembro de 2022.

Outro artista que pode concorrer a Melhor Curta Metragem é o Kendrick Lamar, com um curta-metragem de seis minutos baseado na música “We Cry Together”, lançada em seu último álbum, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

Nos últimos anos, outras famosos fora do mundo do cinema conseguiram um Oscar com curtas-metragens. Um deles foi o ex-jogador Kobe Bryant, falecido em janeiro de 2020, que ganhou a estatueta de Melhor Curta-Metragem de Animação em 2018 com Dear Basketball.
