MTV EMA 2020: Confira os indicados

A MTV divulgou hoje (06), os indicados ao MTV Europe Music Awards, que engloba todos os artistas internacionais em alta atualmente. Dentre os colocados, Lady Gaga novamente lidera em nomeações, assim como no MTV VMA deste ano, incluindo as principais da noite: Melhor Artista, Melhor Vídeo e Melhor Colaboração, e a cantora soma no total sete indicações.

Logo atrás de Gaga, o grupo de pop coreano, que atualmente está no topo da Billboard Hot 100, BTS, aparece listado em cinco categorias, e está empatado com apenas o cantor Justin Bieber. A maior disputa está para Melhor Artista, em que Bieber e Gaga estão na corrida contra Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus e The Weeknd, todos com bases de fãs muito fortes e engajadas com o artista favorito.

Foram adicionadas mais três categorias para a cerimônia: Melhor Artista Latino, Vídeo Pelo Bem e Melhor Apresentação Virtual. A primeira pode ser justificada pelo retorno do destaque massivo nas músicas de matriz latina, principalmente vindas da América do Sul, enquanto a segunda refere-se ao constante crescimento de músicas de protesto sendo realizadas, e a última é uma consequência do distanciamento social que forçou os artistas a performarem dentro de casa.
